cuneiform-common software package provides multi-language OCR system (common), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cuneiform-common
cuneiform-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cuneiform-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cuneiform-common *
You will get with cuneiform-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
